Privacy Policy
How the Alzheimer's Care Alliance of Southwest Florida collects, uses, and protects the information you share through this website.
The Alzheimer's Care Alliance of Southwest Florida ("the Alliance," "we," "us") respects your privacy. This page explains what information this website collects, why, and how it is used. It applies to alzcarealliance.org and does not cover other organizations' websites we may link to.
Information We Collect
We collect information in two ways:
- Information you submit directly. When you use the contact form, newsletter sign-up, volunteer interest form, or research referral form, we collect the details you provide — typically your name, email address, phone number, and message.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, we use analytics tools (Google Analytics, via Google Tag Manager) that automatically collect information such as pages visited, general location, device and browser type, and how you arrived at the site. This data is aggregated and does not identify you personally.
How We Use Your Information
- To respond to your questions, requests, or volunteer interest.
- To send the newsletter, only if you signed up for it.
- To understand how visitors use the site, so we can improve its content and usefulness for families and caregivers.
- To fulfill the purpose you provided the information for, and for no other purpose.
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.
Forms and Third-Party Services
Our website forms are processed by Web3Forms, which delivers your submission to our organizational email and does not store it beyond what is necessary to deliver that message. If online donations are activated, they will be processed by a secure third-party payment provider; the Alliance does not collect or store credit-card numbers, and will not request them by email or through a standard contact form.
Cookies and Analytics
This site uses cookies through Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager to understand overall visitor traffic. You can disable cookies in your browser settings at any time; doing so may affect some site features but will not prevent you from reading its content.
Data Retention
We keep the information submitted through our forms only as long as needed to respond to your request or maintain the newsletter list you asked to join. You may ask us to remove your information at any time (see Contact Us, below).
Children's Privacy
This website is intended for adults seeking information about Alzheimer's disease and caregiving, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Medical Information Disclaimer
The educational content on this site is for general information only and is not a substitute for individualized medical advice. It does not track or store any personal health information you have not chosen to share with us directly.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our website and services evolve. The effective date above reflects the most recent update.
